RF over fibre is an amazing technology and widely used in in-tunnel radio distribution systems for cellular and emergency services. More recently they are moving over to digital systems which send up to 300MHz of radio spectrum using CPRI encoding over a single 10Gbit fibre connection. One underground rail network I designed had over 500 multi-band remote units driven from head ends up to 40km away delivering LTE and TETRA communications - the only issue you have is round trip delays as fibre is 30% slower than a radio signal.

Wow what a treat! I just finished watching Ripley with my parents recently. We loved it and even though they aren’t sound people, they both commented about how great the sound was. Getting ready to start grad school for film production and sound design. Would love to have worked on this show!!

I will definitely be utilizing 32-bit float for ISO tracks just how you are describing. I think this is going to be awesome for unscripted work as well as just general sound effects. I usually use my MixPre to record sound effects but now that my 833 can do it, no need for the MixPre in my kit so am going to sell them off. I also really appreciated that they added all of these features without charging anything for an optional plugin.

can the adxd5 work in bag and on camera ? what extra accessories ae needed for bag ? what extra for on camera ?
